About mParivahan App
The mParivahan app is an initiative by the Government of India that will help people to carry their documents on the go. The mParivahan App will eliminate the use of paper documents thus, providing access to all citizens to their documents related to their vehicles. This app can also be connected to the e–challan portal and the traffic police can get the full details of the vehicle registered under the app.

- Any citizens trying to get a permanent license can give the DL mock test for practice.
- The Citizens can also check the traffic status in their respective states through the app.
- Citizens can locate the nearest RTO office in their states and cities.

- Citizens can also fill out the application form for the renewal of any of the above-mentioned documents.
- Also, an emergency profile can also be created to call an ambulance in emergency needs.
- You can alert your close friends through the app by registering their numbers in your emergency profile.

How does this work?
Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport & Highways and Shipping, and Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of Electronics & Information Technology and Law & Justice jointly launched a new service – integration of DigiLocker & mParivahan with Driving Licenses (DL) & Vehicle Registration Certificates (RC). This service was first launched in New Delhi in September 2016 and now, the service is available all over India.
Procedure To Upload The Documents
You just need to download the mParivahan app through the Play Store or the App store and upload your relevant documents by following these simple steps:-
- First, download the app
- Click on RC/DL dashboard from the menu in the left top corner.
- Enter your vehicle number.
- Upload relevant documents.
- After uploading the documents you can access them anywhere, anytime, and can also show them to the traffic police if they tend to prevent you on the roads.
Digilocker
DigiLocker is a platform for the issuance and verification of documents or certificates in a digital way. The Digilocker helps people to eliminate the use of physical documents. Indian citizens who sign up for a DigiLocker account get a dedicated cloud storage space that is linked to their Aadhaar (UIDAI) number for them to store their documents. You can store any documents you like in the dig locker provided for you. Through, the Parivahan app the Government of India has provided digilockers to keep all your relevant documents to your vehicle in that app.
